I-Education: Home

Welcome to the International Education Site, here you will find information and help with your IGCSE Examinations. The site is still being built at present but when complete will offer help, insight, videos, teaching and assessment modules on everything to do with the IGCSE syllabus.

Whether you are a student needing help with your revision, a teacher wanting lesson ideas or a parent needing help with your child’s homework, International Education Online can act as your Swiss army knife, for all things I-GCSE.

So what are IGCSEs? IGCSEs were introduced by the U.K. government in 1988 and are internationally recognised qualifications. Candidates can sit IGCSE examinations all over the world.  Offering over 70 subjects, IGCSEs are taken in over 120 countries. IGCSEs do not include coursework. Similar to GCSEs, they are perceived by some as academically more rigorous, and for this reason have recently been adopted by over 300 independent schools in the UK.   IGCSEs are widely accepted by universities and colleges as part of their entry requirements. Three different exam boards offer IGCSEs, meaning you can receive an IGCSE certificate through either Cambridge, Edexcel  or AQA exam boards and you can find more information about them on the web pages linked here.
